Window Frame Cleaning

Instructions for cleaning and maintaining window frames

However, it is not only the manufacturers who have obligations towards the buyers. The buyer himself also has obligations in relation to the maintenance of the frames, he must ensure the proper maintenance of the frames, which will increase their lifespan.

DOOR FRAMES CLEANING

You should clean your window frames at least once a year. If your home is near the sea, or in an industrial area, you will need to clean them more often. You must keep in mind that cleaning does not damage the function and appearance of the frame. The ideal is to use a very soft cloth or sponge, plenty of water and a mild cleaning product, such as dishwashing detergent.

Attention: We never use a watering hose or high-pressure washer.

SURFACE PROTECTION

Take care of the perfect appearance of the frame. In order for the frame to maintain its original flawless appearance, you should remove building materials that may have stuck during the preparation of your home, such as cement, plaster, lime, etc. Do not stick materials such as adhesive tape or other types of tape on the aluminum profiles, as they may damage the paint. If you notice traces of silicone or glue, use a little blue alcohol and a soft cloth or cotton and remove them by careful rubbing. Do not use fabrics with a rough surface, wires or strong cleaners to care for the frame, which will damage their surface.

COMPONENTS PROTECTION

In sliding frames, make sure that the sliding guides do not come into contact with dirt or various hard elements. The brushes should remain clean, free of debris or glue. Regarding the opening ones, for excellent sealing and durability, pay attention to the rubber seals and lubricate all moving parts of the frame with silicone spray once a year.
